For Viv, animation was a hobby that started at the young age of five, making stop-motion Lego short films nonstop. Over the years, this hobby grew into a career after learning from leading industry professionals at the Academy of Art University and The Animation Collaborative in the San Francisco Bay Area, creating award-winning computer animated shorts in the process. While at Encyclopedia Pictura in San Francisco, Viv worked on innovative vibrant and whimsical music video projects. His past experiences also include robotic animation and design work for Postmates, creating detailed geographic animations for several documentaries, and developing promotional presentation materials for many biotech companies. He also had the opportunity to pass along his artistic learnings by training at DreamWorks, as well as creating and teaching a workshop curriculum at a local high school. As Somnology’s Director of Design and Social Media, Viv now brings his diverse and refined art and animation background to the Somnology team by leading video, web, and social media projects.
